It is the only National Exercise Referral Scheme in the UK and it aims to standardise exercise referral opportunities across all Local Authorities and Local Health Boards in Wales. NERS is an evidence-based health intervention incorporating physical activity and behavioral change techniques, to support referred clients to make lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellbeing.NERS is overseen by Public Health Wales and it is delivered locally by the 22 Local Authorities and Leisure Trusts and one Health Board.How to Refer to NERSSTEP 1: Choose your local authority area from the drop-down menuSTEP 2: Place 'webucate' in the password boxSTEP 3: The menu shows the conditions that the selected area can deliverSTEP 4: Make a note of the NERS Coordinator's contact email/postal addressSTEP 5: Check the exclusion criteria for the relevant conditionSTEP 6: Open up a referral form.
